FSU wins third straight over the Gators 30-7

Florida State opened the scoring in the first quarter on a touchdown pass from Weinke to Atrews Bell. The Gators answered with a long touchdown drive that ended in Jesse Palmer hitting tightend Aaron Walker with a five-yard touchdown pass. But that would be the Gators only points of the game. They did have their chances, though.
"We had the ball at midfield here and there and got down there near the end a couple of times," said Gator coach Steve Spurrier. "Nothing went good, except for that one drive. Unbelievable that we can only get seven points up here, but that's the way it worked out."
The Gators picked up a couple of interceptions - from Todd Johnson and Alex Brown - but were unable to convert the turnovers into points. It was Florida State's third straight win in the series.
"Right now we've got to regroup next week," said Walker. "We have a big game coming up in Atlanta."
Walker was referring to the December 2nd SEC Championship game against Auburn in the Georgia Dome. Kickoff for that game is slated for 4:30 eastern.
