Women's Golf Moves into First at Liz Murphey Coll.

Junior Jeanne Cho (Bradenton, Fla.) shot a four-under-par 68 and freshman Whitney Code (Tampa, Fla.) shot a 69 Saturday to lead the University of Florida women's golf team into sole possession of first place heading into the final round of the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic. Florida's two-round 589 is just one stroke ahead of Auburn.
Florida gained 15 strokes on defending national champion Georgia on its home course, which is also the site of the 2002 SEC Championships, during Round Two. Cho is in second place in individual scoring with a two-round total of 143 (75-68), just two strokes behind Mississippi State's Anna Gertsson. Code moved up to a tie for seventh place with a two-round total of 148 (79-69).
Other individual scores included Brittany Straza (Ft. Myers, Fla.) in a tie for 13th (74-76--150), Amanda Dick (Clearwater, Fla.) in a tie for 20th (73-78--151) and Andrea Vander Lende (Longwood, Fla.) in a tie for 34th (80-75--155).
Sunday's final round begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
