Going into the final round of competition at the 2003 SEC Championships, the No. 9 women's golf team is currently tied for first place with Tennessee at 592, after shooting a low round of 296 Saturday at the second round of competition at the University Club of Kentucky in Lexington, Ky.
"I thought we played steady today," head coach Jill Briles-Hinton said. "We had to adjust to play to a different wind condition than yesterday. Today was moving day for us and hopefully tomorrow we can keep going."
"Each and every golfer on this team needs to go as low as they can go tomorrow, thinking and positioning the ball at every hole."
Freshman Aimee Cho (Orlando, Fla.) is currently in third place as she has shot a one-over-par 145 (72-73) through the second round. Junior Amanda Dick (Clearwater, Fla.) shot a low-round for the Gators, carding an even-par 72 to move into seventh place with a two-round score of 147 (75-72). Senior Jeanne Cho (Bradenton, Fla.) is tied for 11th place after shooting a score of 149 (73-76).
