W. Golf in 12th After Second Round of Fall Preview

The University of Florida Lady Gator golf team moved up to 12th place Saturday with a score of 302 in the second round of the 2003 NCAA Fall Preview hosted by Auburn. Arizona leads the 18-team field with its two day total of 583 (+7). UF stands just four strokes out of the top 10 places.
For the second consecutive day, freshman Naree Song (Bradenton, Fla.) led the Lady Gators with a one-under par performance in the second round. Song is tied for 17th place with a 146 (+2). Sophomore Aimee Cho (Orlando, Fla.) took a big leap in the standings, moving from T40th place to T21st place. Cho carded a 72 in the second round, giving her a two-round total of 148 (+4). Other finishers for the Lady Gators included freshman Mallory Code (Tampa, Fla.) and Camila Gonzalez (Bucaramanga, Columbia) who are tied for 63rd place. Code carded a 79 for the second consecutive day, and Gonzalez finished with an 80. Sophomore Tarah McNaughton (Bradenton, Fla.) is tied for 84th place with a two-day total of 165.
Florida will tee off Sunday morning at Grand National Lake Golf Course for the final round of the three-day tournament. Live scoring is available on www.golfstat.com.
