Swim & Dive Teams Compete At Spring Nationals

Two University of Florida swimmers swam career-best times during the first day of competition at the USA Spring Nationals. Members of the men and women's swimming team will be competing at Spring Nationals through Saturday, which is being held at the YMCA Aquatic and Family Center.
Sophomore Jamie Tannhauser (Seattle, Wash.) swam a career-best time in the 800-meter freestyle (8:58.75) to finish in 30th place. Freshman Kristen Harris (Holmdel, N.J.) also swam a career-best time in the 800-meter freestyle (9:15.76) to finish in 77th place.
Sophomore Michael Berger (Frankfurt, Germany) finished 18th in the 800-meter freestyle in a season-best time of 8:24.38.
The Gators return to the pool tomorrow for the second day of competition featuring the 100-meter freestyle, 200-meter breaststroke, 200- meter backstroke and 200-meter butterfly.
