Women's Golf in Fifth After Day Two of The Landfall Tradition

The Lady Gator golfers fell one spot on the leaderboard to fifth place after carding a 309 (+21) team total in the second round of The Landfall Tradition on Saturday. For the second straight day, the squad was led by the freshmen duo of Evan Jensen (Belleair, Fla.) and Andrea Watts (Bradenton, Fla.).
Both Jensen and Watts shot identical scores for the second consecutive day, carding a five-over par 77 for a 36-hole score of 151 (+7). The tandem is currently tied for 10th place. After making bogeys on five of her first seven holes, Jensen showed her resilience to collect 10 consecutive pars before shooting a bogey on the final hole. Watts was even-par heading into the 12th hole before she collected two double bogeys and a bogey on the back stretch.
Sophomore Jessica Yadloczky (Casselberry, Fla.) had a solid round, improving two strokes from round one for a four-over 76 on Saturday. Yadloczky's total score of 154 (+10, 78-76) places her in a tie for 17th place heading into the final round.
Sophomore Hannah Yun (Bradenton, Fla.) improved her first round score by four strokes on Saturday, shooting a 79 (+7) to land in a tie for 44th with a total score of 162 (+18). She collected 11 pars, one birdie, four bogeys and two double bogeys on the afternoon. Redshirt Brittany Nelson (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) slipped 12 spots to a tie for 46th on the leaderboard after shooting an 11-over 83 for a two-day score of 164 (+20).
For the second day in a row, Wake Forest is atop the team leaderboard with a 36-hole score of 585 (+9) after shooting an impressive even-par 288 in the second round. The Demon Deacons' Cheyenne Woods is in first place with a two-under 146 (75-71). Five of the top six golfers on the leaderboard are from Wake Forest.
