Wednesday, March 12, 2014 | Men's Swimming & Diving
Florida Diving's season came to an end at the three-day NCAA Zone 'B' Diving Regional Championships in Greensboro, N.C. Nine women and seven men emerged out of each field with a spot at the NCAA Championships.
Selections are built on a tier based formula that takes into consideration combined prelims and finals places on both springboards and platform. Sophomore Kahlia Warner displayed a career best platform score of 284.10 in prelims and finished with a 10-line total of 539.95, which placed her sixth overall in the event. After finaling on both springboard events at the Southeastern Conference Championships, Warner's performance was a personal best at the Zones meet and her highest finish ever in a championships format on platform.
Both Warner and Delaney Dye made finals on one-meter. Warner placed 11th with a 12-line total of 580.60 and Dye placed 17th with a 12-line total of 534.90. Warner also was a finalist on three-meter, posting a 12th place finish and 12-dive score of 626.85. Emily Mosher competed on all three boards and enjoyed her highest finish on three-meter, 24th, with a score of 263.75.
On the men's side, Zachary Hernandez narrowly missed his career best in a 13th place finish on platform, ending with a six-dive total of 271.90. Chris Jones made the finals on one-meter and finished 17th overall with a 12-line score of 539.25.
