EVANSTON, Ill. – The Florida women's golf team wrapped up play at the Windy City Classic in fourth with four players finishing in the top 25.
Junior Marta Perez led the team through the tournament, finishing sixth on the leaderboard as the only Gator under par. Junior Sierra Brooks moved up 10 spots in the final round to finish at 14th after carding a two-under in on the final day.
Freshman Clara Manzalini finished right behind Brooks at T15 with a par score in her final round. Sophomore Lauren Waidner had her best finish of the season at T24 after carding a set of 74's across the board.
Coach's Take
"It was nice to see us improve each day; I think we got more comfortable and played more freely each round. We adjusted a lot quicker than we did at Michigan State so that was a big positive. We have a lot more left in there and are leaving with some great things to work on, and different things for each player. But we still have a lot to be excited and optimistic about." – Head Coach Emily Glaser
