Gators Stay in Contention after First Round of Evans Derby

AUBURN, Ala. – After the first 18 holes of the Evans Derby Experience, the Florida women's golf team sits in second place with freshman Clara Manzalini tied for first.

Three birdies on her first five holes of the day helped Manzalini shoot up the leaderboard early and two birdies on her final four holes of the day secured her spot at the top. Junior Sierra Brooks and sophomore Elin Esborn are both tied for 21 after carding a one-over 73 in the first round.

Round two will begin Sunday morning with tee times starting at 9:30 a.m. ET.
