GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Florida Head Women's Basketball Coach Kelly Rae Finley announced today that the team has added a pair of future Gator guards to the roster this signing season as Arynn Finley (Etiwanda HS, Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.) and Kennedy Holman (Hamilton Southeastern HS, Fishers, Ind.) made their collegiate plans official this afternoon.
Arynn Finley
Finley is the 48th ranked recruit in the nation per ESPNW, and 55th per 247Sports.com. She comes from one of the most elite programs in the state of California, as Etiwanda has finished in the top three in the country in each of her three seasons with the Eagles.
As a junior, Finley led Etiwanda to a 28-5 mark, including 7-0 in league play, finishing the year ranked number one in the nation by The Sporting News. Etiwanda also won its third consecutive open Division state championship.
During her sophomore season, Etiwanda was ranked first in the state after finishing 32-2 with an unblemished 10-0 mark in conference. Finley's freshman campaign boasted another perfect 10-0 record in league competition and a 32-3 record to go with a number three ranking in the state.
"Arynn brings a combination of grit, skill and team-first mentality to our program," said Coach Finley. "She's the kind of competitor who not only impacts on and off the court, but elevates everyone around her. We're proud to welcome her to the Gator family and excited to have her in Gainesville."
Kennedy Holman
Holman is ranked 53rd in the nation by ESPNW and 247Sports.com, and is averaging 16.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.5 steals and 2.0 blocked shots per game early in her senior season.
One year ago, Hamilton Southeastern finished the season with a 27-1 record with the team's singular loss coming to Warsaw (IN) in the postseason. During Holman's sophomore year, the Lions went 22-4, and during her freshman season, they posted a 21-3 mark.
"Kennedy is a competitor who plays with poise, purpose, and passion," said Coach Finley. "She embodies what it means to be a Gator—she's driven, team-minded, and committed to growth on and off the court. We're thrilled to welcome her to the Gator family."
Florida puts its perfect, 3-0 record on the line against Samford on Thursday, Nov. 13 with tip slated for 7 p.m. EST at Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.
