GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Swimming and Diving program had 10 student-athletes named to the 2024-25 Southeastern Conference First-Year Academic Honor Roll, league commissioner Greg Sankey announced today.

Of the 97 Gator student-athletes on the First-Year Academic Honor Roll, Lindholm is one of four who earned a 4.0 grade point average in their first year at UF, while Bottazzo, Brousseau and Reese are three of ten Gators who earned both SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll status and 2025 All-America accolades.

Earlier this year, the program placed 25 men and 22 women on the SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll. Today's announcement brings the number of Gator swim & dive representatives on 2024-25 SEC Academic Honor Rolls to 57.

To be recognized to the SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll, each student-athlete must 1) have a GPA of 3.00 for either the preceding academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above at the nominating institution; 2) be on scholarship, a letterwinner; 3) have completed 24 semester hours of non-remedial credit at the nominating institution; and 4) have been a member of the varsity team for the sport's entire NCAA Championship segment.
