GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Both the Florida Men's and Women's Cross Country Teams saw jumps in the latest USTFCCCA Coaches' Poll that came out Tuesday afternoon. The women found themselves ranked fourth in the country as the men are now ranked ninth following their performances at the Nuttycombe Invitational
The Gator women jumped nine places to No. 4 after finishing second at the Nuttycombe Invitational with 111 points. This put them above 14 ranked teams including the then ranked No. 3, 4, and 5 teams in the country. The Gators were led by Judy Chepkoech, who won the race by 0.1 seconds with a time of 19:19.5. The Gators will return to action on Oct. 30 when they head to Columbia, Mo. for the SEC Championships.
