GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Skye Blakely is back on the world stage, bringing two world team titles and another season of Gator experience to the U.S. gymnastics lineup.
The Florida junior and Gator signee Dulcy Caylor are in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, for the 2026 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships, Oct. 18-25 at Rotterdam Ahoy. Blakely is part of the five-member U.S. women's team, while Caylor serves as the traveling replacement athlete.
The U.S. women begin qualification in Subdivision 1 at 10 a.m. ET on Sunday, Oct. 18. Coverage begins at 9:55 a.m. on Eurovision Sport. The U.S. won their seventh consecutive team title at the last World team competition in 2023.
Blakely Brings Championship Experience
This will be Blakely's fourth senior World Championships appearance. She helped the U.S. win team gold in 2022 and 2023, placed fifth in the 2022 balance beam final and finished fourth in the 2025 uneven bars final.
Her return to Worlds follows a comeback from a right Achilles tendon injury suffered during podium training before the 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials. She made her collegiate debut on uneven bars in Florida's Jan. 10, 2025, season opener.
Blakely competed on uneven bars and balance beam at the 2025 U.S. Championships before earning a place on the four-member U.S. Worlds roster. In August, she returned to elite all-around competition at the 2026 Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships, her first elite all-around appearance since the 2024 U.S. Championships. She won uneven bars silver and earned her sixth consecutive U.S. senior national team berth.
Caylor back at World Championships
Caylor made her Worlds debut alongside Blakely in 2025, advancing to the all-around, balance beam and floor exercise finals. She finished sixth on floor and eighth on beam. The 2025 championships featured individual competition only, with no team event.
She recently won floor exercise gold at the 2026 Szombathely World Challenge Cup in Hungary. At this year's U.S. Championships, she finished sixth in the all-around, fifth on beam and was named to the U.S. Senior National Team for the fifth consecutive year.
Caylor signed with Florida in November 2025 and is deferring enrollment until fall 2028 to pursue a place on the U.S. Olympic team.
