Each week of the 2026-27 season, FloridaGators.com will cover all of the best moments from the NFL stars who made a name for themselves in Gainesville.
Offense
Chimere Dike - WR - Tennessee Titans
While facing the Cincinnati Bengals in the 1 p.m. slot on Sunday, Chimere Dike made an impact when his number was called. Of the 63 total offensive snaps seen, he brought in five receptions on six targets for a total of 71 yards, all season highs. In a matchup that relied heavily on the offense, Dike managed to haul in a 11-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to give the Titans the lead. He also continues to see the majority of special teams opportunities. On the day, the former Gator Captain totaled six kick returns for 180 yards. He now leads the entire league in total returns, with 32, and total return yards, 829. Despite the loss, he posted a 75.1 run-blocking PFF grade, which was the second highest on the team for the day.
Defense
Alex Anzalone - LB - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
In a game that was deeply influenced by weather, Alex Anzalone had his best game as a Buccaneer. Anzalone recorded six tackles including one for a loss and a QB hurry, but Anzalone's strongest impact came in the form of two interceptions off of Michael Penix Jr. Anzalone had yet to have two interceptions in a single season in any of his previous nine seasons and is now up to three with the Buccaneers. Anzalone recorded a defensive PFF grade of 92.4 and a coverage grade of 93.6 which not only led the Bucs, but led all linebackers in week eight and earned a spot on PFF week eight team of the week. His defensive PFF grade was the second highest in the NFL of all defensive players and his coverage grade led the entire NFL for the week. Anzalone will look to build on this big performance when Tampa Bay heads to Chicago to take on the Bears on Sunday Night Football.
Shemar James Sr. - LB - Dallas Cowboys
Dallas' second year linebacker made his second start of the season and continued to make big plays for the Cowboys. Shemar James Sr. played 78 snaps on defense which was a career high for him and led the Cowboys with nine total tackles. Shemar's biggest play of the game came late in the first quarter when he recorded his first career interception and returned it 33 yards to Arizona's 5-yard line to set up the Cowboys for a touchdown. Shemar's nine tackles were a season-high and he will look to continue his strong performance as the Cowboys go on the road to face off against the Colts this upcoming Sunday.
Brenton Cox Jr. - DE - Green Bay Packers
Brenton Cox Jr. made his presence known in the Packers Thursday Night Football victory over the Panthers. Cox Jr. filled the stat sheet with two total tackles, one sack, three QB hurries, two QB hits and one fumble recovery. Brenton recorded his first sack of the season and recovered a fumble in back to back weeks, bringing his season total to two which ties for the defensive lead in the NFL and makes him the only defensive player to recover a fumble in back to back weeks. Cox Jr. recorded a defensive PFF grade of 91.4 and a pass rush grade of 90.8 which led the Packers and led all edge rushers in week eight, marking him as one of PFF's week eight team of the week members. His 91.4 defensive grade was the fifth highest of qualified players in week eight and his 90.8 pass rush grade was good for second in the NFL this past week.
Special Teams
Jeremy Crawshaw - P - Denver Broncos
In the division-rival matchup, facing the Kansas City Chiefs, Broncos punter Jeremy Crawshaw put the Broncos defense in positional advantages on multiple occasions. Of his five punts, totaling 217 yards, Crawshaw had two of which land inside the 20-yard line to pin the Chiefs offense in their own territory. Additionally, he continues to tie the league lead of 41 attempts and has the most yards on the season among punters with 1,968.
