Gators Lead League with 142 on SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida led all programs with 142 student-athletes on the 2025 Southeastern Conference Fall Academic Honor Roll, announced Wednesday by league commissioner Greg
The 2025 SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll is based on grades from the 2025 spring, summer and fall terms.
Florida's football team reset its league record with 94 on the 2025 list. This is the fifth time since 2020 Gators raised the league's record for football honorees – 2024 (80), 2023 (75), 2022 (62) and 2020 (55).
Florida's SEC champion women's cross country team, which took fifth at the NCAA Championships, placed six on the list.
Gator volleyball, which advanced to 2025 NCAA action, matched its record of 13 SEC Academic Honor Roll recipients for the second time in the last three season.
Florida's soccer team was one away from its all-time high with 23 earning a spot on the SEC Academic Honor Roll. Men's cross country placed six on the SEC Academic Honor Roll.
To be recognized to the SEC Academic Honor Roll, each student-athlete must 1) have a GPA of 3.00 for either the preceding academic year or have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or above at the nominating institution; 2) be on scholarship, a letterwinner or have participated on a varsity team for two years if non-scholarship; 3) have completed 24 semester hours of non-remedial credit at the nominating institution; and 4) have been a member of the varsity team for the sport's entire NCAA Championship segment.
