Legendary Gator Track and Field Coach, Mike Holloway, Joins Gator Talk Thursday

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida Track and Field head coach Mike Holloway is set to make his spring appearance on Gator Talk, presented by Dream Finders Homes. Holloway will be joined by the Voice of the Gators, Sean Kelley, live from Miller's Ale House at Celebration Pointe from 7-8 p.m.
Holloway has led both the Florida Track and Field and Cross Country teams for nearly two decades, winning 13 national championships and 17 SEC championships. His athletes have carded 94 individual championships and 226 SEC event championships. Most recently, Florida's men's outdoor Track and Field team claimed back-to-back-to-back national titles from 2022-24, and Florida's women's outdoor Track and Field squad won it all in 2022.
Florida Track and Field just concluded its second meet of the indoor season last weekend at the Razorback Invitational, notching five podium finishes and 11 new top-10 school records. Florida freshman Kelvin Cheruiyot set his second school record, running 7:47.45 in the 3000m to break a 34-year-old mark by nearly 11 seconds. Both the men's and women's teams jumped up in the rankings following the strong showing, slotting in at No. 12 and No. 14, respectively.

Gymnastics head coach Jenny Rowland is slated to make her spring 2026 Gator Talk debut Feb. 12, and men's basketball head coach Todd Golden will make his third and final appearance the following week (Feb. 19). Mar. 5 will be the final Gator Talk of the season and is reserved for select Florida student athletes to be named later.
Gator Talk is a weekly hour-long program covering the latest in Gator athletics. The show is available live on 103.7 The Gator, the Florida Gators Mobile App and on the Varsity Mobile App.
Gators women's basketball will be live on WRUF 98.1 FM / 850 AM.
