GAINESVILLE, Fla. – To recognize their academic and athletic achievements throughout the 2025-26 season three members of the Florida Men's Swimming and Diving team earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America Honors. Headlining the group, Josh Liendo has been named the CSC Academic All-America Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Team Member of the Year and is a member of the Academic All-America First Team.
This honor marks Liendo's second CSC Academic All-America honor of his career after being named to the Academic All-Americ First Team for the 2024-25 season as well. He becomes the fourth Gator swimmer to receive multiple CSC Academic All-America honors, joining Brad deborder (2013 & 2014), Greg Reeves (1999, 2000, 2001) and Kevin Nead (2007 & 2008).
Earning his degree in Education Sciences, Liendo holds a cumulative grade-point average of 3.56. In his senior season, he was named a seven-time First Team All-American (100 Butterfly, 50 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, 200 Freestyle Relay, 400 Freestyle Relay and 400 Medley Relay) at the 2025-26 NCAA Division I National Championships bringing his total to 26 All-American honors in his career. He became just the second Gator in program history to sweep his individual events (50 free, 100 free and 100 fly), joining Caleb Dressel in that achievement. Liendo also set a new NCAA, program, meet and U.S. Open records after claiming his three-peat title for the 100 fly with a time of 42.54 in prelims and shattered that record again in the final with a 42.49.
Joining Liendo on the Academic All-America First Team is fellow senior Eric Brown. Brown is earning his degree in Computer Science, graduating cum laude with a 3.89 GPA. Brown was named a Second Team All-American in the 1,650-freestyle helping the Gators be runners-up at the 2025-26 NCAA Division I National Championships.
Conor Gesing rounds out the trio of Gators earning CSC Academic All-America Second Team. The junior diver holds a 3.86 GPA in Education Sciences. Gesing took fifth in the 3-meter and sixth in the 1-meter at the NCAA National Championships, collecting First Team All-American honors for both events.
