
The Gators reached new heights in the classroom in 2025-26, as Florida student-athletes posted a record-breaking 3.43 cumulative GPA — the highest academic year mark in program history.
Gators Perform Well in Classroom During Academic Year

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – University of Florida student-athletes performed well in the academic arena this spring, with collectively earning a 3.46 term grade point average.
For the 2025-26 academic year, UF student-athletes posted a record 3.43 cumulative GPA. The previous high of 3.405 was earned in 2024-25.
A GPA of 3.0 or higher was turned in by 18 programs this spring with 84 percent of the student-athletes reaching that mark.
Through The Gators Experience program, Florida student-athletes logged 3,732 community service hours. This includes purchasing and distributing more than 400 new pairs of shoes and socks to children in the Gainesville community earlier in December for the annual Gator Tracks program and playing host to the annual Field Day for area children.
In 2025-26, 75 graduated with a bachelor's degrees while another 14 earned a master's or advanced degree. Thirty graduated with honors.
Gators Classroom Success Numbers
Four programs set or matched GPA records this past semester: football (3.60), men's golf (3.50), women's basketball (3.34) and men's basketball (3.31).
Football's record 3.60 GPA led all men's team this spring. It is the second consecutive semester football led the men's teams. Sharing the high spring GPA for women's team at 3.70 are golf and swimming & diving.
The leaders for 2025-26 cumulative team GPAs are:
Men: Football (3.61 cumulative)
Women: Gymnastics and Tennis (3.70 cumulative)
