Five Gators Named To CSC Academic All-District Softball Team

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Kenleigh Cahalan, Kendall Grover, Cassidy McLellan, Taylor Shumaker and Madison Walker earned spots on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team on Tuesday.
The 2026 Academic All-District Softball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Eligible athletes, who must be at least a sophomore academically, must compete in 90 percent of their institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. Pitchers must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings.
Academically, student-athletes must hold at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average.
Cahalan, McLellan and Shumaker will each advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. All-America honorees will be announced June 16.
