GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida Head Coach Tim Walton announced Friday the addition of NFCA All-American and 2025 Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Year Tori Edwards to the Florida softball roster.
Edwards, a two-time All-SEC selection, is a redshirt junior utility from Flower Mound, Texas.
"We're excited that Tori has chosen Florida to continue her athletic and academic career," Walton said.
"As an All-American, she brings a proven track record of high-level success, along with versatility, competitiveness and experience in the SEC. She's a strong fit for our program both on and off the field."
Edwards, who started 118 of 119 games during her career at LSU, compiled a .331 batting average (107-for-323) while recording 30 home runs, 20 doubles, 118 RBIs, 88 walks and 93 runs scored.
As a redshirt freshman in 2025, Edwards set a single-season LSU program record with a .802 slugging percentage and hit 18 home runs, which tied the program's single-season mark.
She earned All-SEC First Team honors that season and was named a top-10 finalist for the NFCA Freshman of the Year, as well as a top-25 finalist for USA Softball Player of the Year.
During the 2026 season, Edwards hit .284 (44-for-155) with 12 home runs, six doubles and a triple.
She earned All-SEC Second Team honors after batting .290 with seven home runs and 22 RBIs in SEC play.
