Francisco collects third career victory, Florida finishes runner-up

Paula Francisco (-7) won her third collegiate win while Katelyn Huber earned back-to-back runner-up outings to start the season.
FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Paula Francisco went wire-to-wire for her third collegiate victory as the No. 7 Florida women's golf team tied for runner-up at the Mason Rudolph Championship on Sunday at Vanderbilt Legends Club.
The Gators were edged by one shot by Mississippi State, which carded a 4-under stretch over the final five holes (14-18) to secure the team title. Florida tied Arizona State for second at 1-under.
Florida has held both the team and individual leads in five of its six rounds this season.
Francisco captured her third career victory, adding to her SEC Championship and Gators Invitational titles, both of which were record-setting performances. Her Gators Invitational victory set the 54-hole scoring record, while her SEC Championship performance produced the second-lowest tournament score in program history.
With the victory, Francisco becomes the 14th Gator with three or more career wins. She finished the 54-hole tournament at 207 (-6) to win by two strokes.
Katelyn Huber posted her second consecutive runner-up finish to open the season, placing T2 at 4-under, two shots behind Francisco. The sophomore carded three consecutive rounds of par or better (69-69-71). In 14 career tournaments, Huber has recorded eight top-10 finishes.
After winning the season opener at the Cougar Classic, Jessica Guiser finished T22 after carding a final-round 72 (+1). Addison Klonowski finished T39, while Elaine Widjaja placed T58 while Perla Sól Sigurbrandsdóttir (making her collegiate debut) tied for 46th.
