PRIOR TO FLORIDA:
Played four-years of varsity football, three at Fort Pierce Central before transferring to Vero Beach for his senior season… Helped Vero Beach to an undefeated regular season and a berth in the State Playoffs… During his senior season he recorded 47 total tackles with 16.5 tackles-for-loss, 10.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, four pass deflections and a blocked punt... Had two offensive scores as he tallied two carries for 50 yards and two receptions for 13 yards… Played for coach Brad Paulson at Fort Pierce Central and for Lenny Jankowski at Vero Beach… Played three years of varsity basketball playing both power forward and small forward… Averaged 9.5 points per game. 5.0 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks… Chose Florida over Alabama, Florida State, Miami, Georgia and Tennessee… David’s brother, Stewart, just finished his sophomore season at Mississippi State
