Blueshirt Student Volunteers
The University Athletic Association, Marketing and Promotions Department is seeking qualified individuals to volunteer for all academic semesters. All volunteers will have the opportunity to gain experience while working alongside sports marketing professionals with extensive knowledge and skills, all which are critical to enhancing the experience for all Florida Gators fans, student-athletes and University of Florida students.

Volunteer Overview
Blueshirt Volunteers assist in helping create memorable experiences for everyone attending an athletics event. As a volunteer you are involved in everything our fans hear and see from the moment they enter the stadium until the moment they leave. The Blueshirt Student Volunteers report directly to the UAA Marketing Coordinators and will help assist with the following:- Assists with the implementation of game-day promotions at home Florida Athletics events, including set up, in-game execution, and post-game tear down.
- Will serve as marketing representatives at Florida athletics events, tabling/community events, and on campus.
- Attend monthly meetings and workshops for professional development, work experience, networking within the sports industry, and team building.
- Assists with the distribution of promotional materials (posters, schedule cards, flyers, etc.).
- Opportunities for growth are available within the program as office volunteers and/or Project Team members assisting with specific sports. Getting a more in-depth knowledge of how our marketing team plans and executes a season.
Candidate Requirements
- Advanced computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- The ability to use basic office equipment (telephone, copier, etc.)
- Must be an organized individual with the ability to meet stringent deadlines.
- Able to work independently and make appropriate decisions based on guidelines and experience.
- A flexible schedule is imperative as the position is required to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Must be punctual and have reliable attendance.
- Maintain a professional behavior and appearance.
- Represent the UAA and the Florida Gators brand in a respectful and positive manner at all times.
- Ability to work well with co-workers and supervisors in a fast paced team environment.
- Must be able to carry items up to 25 pounds.
