Jonathan Blake

Jonathan Blake enters his seventh season at Florida and his fourth as director of basketball operations. He has previously worked as assistant to the head coach (2017-18) and video coordinator (2015-17) at Florida.
 
Blake originally came to UF with head coach Mike White from Louisiana Tech in 2015. The Gators are 123-75 during his tenure with the team and have earned four NCAA Tournament berths, including a 2017 Elite Eight appearance and six total NCAA Tournament victories.
 
Blake spent two years as a graduate staff member at Louisiana Tech, including the 2014-15 season when he had video coordinator responsibilities, as well. During Blake’s two seasons in Ruston, he earned his M.S. in Kinesiology with a Sports Administration emphasis. The Bulldogs posted a 56-17 record, won the Conference USA both seasons and reached the National Invitation Tournament quarterfinals in that time.
 
Prior to his stint at LA Tech, Blake spent the 2012-13 season as an assistant coach at Division III NYU-Poly in Brooklyn, N.Y., where he coached on-court, conducted individual workouts, scouted opponents, recruited and handled film exchange. He helped the Blue Jays post a three-win improvement over the previous season. Blake also worked as an assistant coach at Riverside High School in Durham, N.C., during the 2011-12 season.
 
Blake is a 2011 graduate of the University of North Carolina, where he earned his B.A. in exercise sport science.
