UF Women's Golf Finishes Fourth at Lady Paladin

The University of Florida Lady Gator golf team shot a final round of 304 to finish in fourth place Sunday at the 2001 Lady Paladin Invitational. On the weekend, Florida shot 312-299-304--915.
Sophomore Amanda Dick (Clearwater, Fla.) led the Lady Gators after shooting 228 (77-74-77), finishing tied for 16th. Junior Brittany Straza (Fort Myers, Fla.) finished one stroke behind Dick, carding a 77-75-77--229 to tie for 16th. Freshmen Whitney Code (Tampa, Fla.) turned in a 230 (79-77-74), finishing tied for 21st. Junior Jeanne Cho (Bradenton, Fla.) shot a 231 (82-73-76) to tie for 27th, and Andrea Vander Lende (Longwood, Fla.) rounded out the team scoring after carding a three-round 236 (79-78-79), tying for 50th place.
The Lady Paladin Invitational is Florida's last of the fall season. The Lady Gators' next tournament is Feb. 11-13 when UF travels to Palos Verdes Estates, Calif., for the 2002 TRW Regional Challenge hosted by Ohio State.
