Florida Women's Golf In Sixth At Auburn Derby

The 13-ranked University of Florida women's golf team moved up to sixth place with a score of 596 in the second round of the Auburn Derby Invitational. No. 10 Tennessee leads the tournament with a score of 586.
"We did an excellent job today," Head Coach Jill Briles-Hinton said. "Today was moving day and we moved into position. Tomorrow we need to stay focused and committed to our goals and take it one shot at a time."
Sophomore Whitney Code (Tampa, Fla.) led the Lady Gators for the second straight day. Code shot a one-under-par 71 to finish the day tied for fifth place with a two-round score of 144. Senior Jeanne Cho (Bradenton, Fla.) is tied for 17th-place, shooting a one-over-par 73 (76-73--149). Junior Amanda Dick (Clearwater, Fla.) is tied for 31st with a score of 152. Senior Brittany Straza (Fort Myers, Fla.) and sophomore Andrea Vander Lende (Longwood, Fla.) are both tied for 46th-place with scores of 155. Freshman Camila Gonzalez (Bucaramanga, Columbia) is competing as an individual and finished the day tied for 31st after shooting a one-under-par 71 in the second round.
