W. Golf Maintains Second Place in Tourney

After two rounds of competition, three Lady Gators are in the top 10 to maintain Florida's second place standing in the Franklin Street Partners Invitational. UF sports a 595 (+19) for the tournament, which ends Sunday. The Duke Blue Devils are in first place with a 564 (-12).
After carding an even round, sophomore Aimee Cho (Orlando, Fla.) is in fourth place with a score of 142 (70-72).
Freshman Naree Song (Bradenton, Fla.) moved up in the standings to tie for 10th place as she carded a 74. Sophomore Tarah McNaughton (Bradenton, Fla.) also is in 10th place with a score of 148 (70-78).
Other finishers include sophomore Camila Gonzalez (Bucaramanga, Colombia), who moved up to 35th place with a score of 160 (81-79). Junior Andrea Vander Lende (Longwood, Fla.) is tied for 36th place with a 161 (78-83).
Eight of the nine tournament teams are ranked in the NGCA Coaches' Poll. Four of those teams are ranked in the top 10 (Duke, 1; Auburn, 2; Oklahoma St., 4; UF, 9).
The Lady Gators have finished in the top five in seven of the last 12 tournaments, including their No. 4 finish at the Mason Rudolph Championship Sept. 28.
Florida's last appearance in the Franklin Street Partners Invitational was in 2000 when the Lady Gators placed eighth out of 17 teams.
Florida tees off Sunday morning for the final round of the tournament.
