The women's golf team is tied for sixth place with a 589 (287-302) at the Mason Rudolph Championship after the second round of competition Saturday. The UCLA Bruins are in first place with a 576.
Leading the Lady Gators is freshman Naree Song (Bradenton, Fla.), who is tied for sixth with a 143. Song carded a even par round (72) after going one-under Friday. Song has carded an even or under-par round in three of the five rounds she has played this season.
Sophomore Aimee Cho (Orlando, Fla.) is close behind with a 144 (71-73) to tie for eighth place.
Sophomore Tarah McNaughton (Bradenton, Fla.) shot a 77 to put her tied for 23rd place with a 148. Junior Andrea Vander Lende (Longwood, Fla.) is tied for 67th place with a 157 (74-83), and sophomore Camila Gonzalez (Bucaramanga, Columbia) moved up to tie for 82nd place after she carded an 80 Saturday.
The tournament field features 12 teams ranked in the latest NGCA Coaches' Poll, and six of those teams are ranked in the top 10 (Auburn, 2; Arizona, 3; UCLA, 5; Vanderbilt, T6; Southern Cal, 8; UF, 9).
Florida is making its second appearance in the Mason Rudolph Championship. The Lady Gators finished ninth in the 2001 tournament.
The Lady Gators will tee off at 8 a.m. Sunday for the final day of competition.
