The No. 14 University of Florida women's golf team finished second with a score of 305 in the 18-hole competition at Mission Inn.
"We're making progress," Florida head coach Jill Briles-Hinton said. "We're pleased with how we played. It's a very difficult course."
The Ohio State University won the event with a score of 298. The Buckeyes were led by junior Kristen White, who carded a 66, matching her career low.
"I started out pretty shaky," White said. "I was able to make a lot of birdie putts to save par. I really enjoyed the course. I never played it before."
Auburn finished third with a score of 312 and South Florida finished fourth with a 320.
Leading the way for the Lady Gators was sophomore Aimee Cho (Orlando, Fla.), who finished runner-up with a score of 72.
The Lady Gators will travel to Brown Summit, N.C. , for the Bryan National Collegiate Golf Tournament April 2-4.
