After carding a 300 in the second round, the No. 13 University of Florida women’s golf team is in sixth place with a two-day score of 595 (295-300) at the Bryan National Collegiate.
“We did okay today,” Florida head coach Jill Briles-Hinton said. “We need to play smart golf and stick with our goals. It would be nice to go par or better for everybody tomorrow.”
Sophomore Aimee Cho (Orlando, Fla.) remained consistent as she fired a 73 for the second consecutive day. Cho birdied on five putts to remain under par until she double bogeyed on hole 16, pushing her to one stroke over. After two rounds, Cho is tied for 11th with a score of 146.
After carding an 81 in the first round, sophomore Camila Gonzalez (Bucaramanga, Colombia) fired a 74 Saturday, only two strokes over par. Gonzalez jumped to 54th place with a two-round score of 155.
