Woolcock, Austin Advance on Day One of Main Draw at Riviera/ITA All-American Championships

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – The University of Florida women's tennis teams had two members in singles advance in the main draw of the 2015 Riviera/ITA All-American Championships on Thursday.
No. 2-ranked and No. 1 overall seed in the draw, Brooke Austin defeated the No. 23-ranked Jasmine Lee of Mississippi State, 6-2, 7-6(8). No. 32-ranked Belinda Woolcock continued her run in the tournament with a victory over No. 11-ranked Clemson Tiger Joana Eidukonyte, 6-1, 6-4. In other singles action, No. 5-ranked Josie Kuhlman fell in her first round of match play to Francesca Di Lorenzo of Ohio State, 6-2, 6-0.
In doubles action, the No. 1-ranked doubles tandem of Austin and Kourtney Keegan received a bye in the first round of the doubles draw. The second round pitted the Gators against Ng and Mathis of Dartmouth. The Gators were able to defeat the Dartmouth duo, 8-2 to advance to the doubles main draw quarterfinals on Friday.
Kuhlman will continue play in the singles consolation draw that begins on Friday morning.

About the Riviera:
The Riviera Tennis Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif., will serve as the host site for the 2015 Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships. The national championship, considered the first leg of the collegiate grand slam, is set to begin on Saturday, October 3 with the pre-qualifying singles and doubles matches. Qualifying matches will be played October 6-7 and main draw action is slated to start Thursday, October 8 through Sunday, October 11.
Gators Selected for Riviera/ITA All-American Championships:
· Brooke Austin and Josie Kuhlman received automatic berths into the singles main draw
· Kourtney Keegan, Brianna Morgan and Belinda Woolcock earned spots in the singles qualifying draw
· Anna Danilina received a berth into the singles pre-qualifying draw

· Danilina and Morgan earned spots in the doubles prequalifying draw
What's at Stake:
Main draw singles semifinalists, main draw doubles finalists and main draw consolation champions will receive automatic entry into the USTA/ITA National Indoor Collegiate Championships, Nov. 12-15 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, New York.
