Florida to Compete in Final Tournament of Fall Season

Gainesville, Fla. - The University of Florida women's golf team will begin its final tournament of the fall season on Friday, at the Stanford Intercollegiate in Palo Alto, Calif. The Gators will face eight top-30 ranked teams in the field of 17.
Florida is coming off of a fourth place finish at the Windy City Classic in Evanston, Ill., last week. Freshman Marta Perez finished tied for seventh. Perez posted a 213 for the tournament, her lowest 54-hole score of the year. All five Gators finished in the top-25 of the Windy City Classic.
Course Information: The tournament is being held at the Par-71, 6,130-yard Stanford Golf Course in Palo Alto, Calif.
Format: 54-hole stroke play, where all teams will play three rounds
Tee Times:
Friday Rd. 1 – 11:30 a.m. (ET)
Saturday Rd. 2 – 11:30 a.m. (ET)
Sunday – 10:30 a.m. (ET)
The Gators' Lineup:
Senior Maria Torres (Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico): Torres tied for the second lowest 54-hole score of the season (208), and claimed her best finish this season (T6) at the Annika Classic.
Senior Karolina Vlckova (Unhošt, Czech Republic): Carded her lowest 18-hole score of the season at the Annika Classic (66).
Junior Taylor Tomlinson (Gainesville, Fla.): Finished in a tie for 10th at the Mercedes-Benz, helping the Gators to take home their first win of the season.
Freshman Marta Perez (Valencia, Spain): Recorded her lowest 54-hole score of the year last week at the Windy City Classic.
Freshman Carlotta Ricolfi (San Remo, Italy): Has the second-lowest 54-hole score on the team (216), which she recorded in her first tournament of the season, the Annika Classic.
Head Coach Emily Glaser Says:
"This is a new event on our schedule for both our coaching staff and our team, and we are looking forward to the challenge. The weather is forecasted to be poor, so it will really be a great mental battle and learning experience for our team. The strength of our fall schedule is exceptional, and we will once again battle with the top teams in the country this week."
