UF capped an impressive showing by a number of Gators at the national event.

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – If there were such a thing as a triple-overtime match in the sport of tennis, UF's doubles team of Brooke Austin and Kourtney Keegan played just that in the semifinals of the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships at the Riviera Country Club on Saturday.

Pepperdine's sixth-ranked Luisa Stefani and Jean Runglerkriangkrai outlasted the Gators, 7-6 (5), 6-7 (5), 1-0 (7), and put an end to Austin and Keegan's solid run through the first collegiate grand slam of the season.

They were the only Gators remaining at the individual national tournament.

Quoting UF Head Coach Roland Thornqvist:

"This was a great week for the Gators. We showed that we have a team of tremendous talent. Perhaps even more importantly, we showed during this past week in California that we have something we always strive for and that's depth. I now know that we will have winners at every position in the dual match lineup this spring, regardless of who plays where."

On the Line:

Main draw singles semifinalists, main draw doubles finalists and main draw consolation champions will receive automatic entry into the 2016 USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships, Nov. 3-6 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, New York.
