
Gators Travel North for Windy City Classic

Two-day event starts Monday in Highland Park, Ill.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- The Gators will take part in the Windy City Classic for the third consecutive year.
Florida will be the lone representative from the Southeastern Conference this weekend in the 15-team field. The field included eight teams currently ranked in the top-25 with with five of those teams being in the top-10.
Last season, Florida finished fourth in the event totaling a three round score of 865 (+1). Marta Perez was the Gators top finisher at three-under par placing her tied for seventh on the leaderboard.
After a career-low 66 (-5) final round at the Schooner Fall Classic this week, coach Emily Glaser bumps Perez up to the top slot in the starting five.
Florida posted a third-place finish in Oklahoma as a five-under par third round helped the Gators card a three-under par score.
For the second-straight event, Addie Baggarly moves up the starting five penciled in the No. 3 position by coach Glaser.
The first round of competition starts Monday with the first tee scheduled for 8:30 a.m. (ET) from Northmoor Country Club in Highland Park, Ill.
Course Information: The tournament is being played at the Par 71, 6,200 yards Northmoor Country Club in Highland Park, Ill.
Format: 54-hole stroke play where teams will play three rounds over two days. The first round is scheduled for Monday at 8:30 a.m. (ET). The teams will play the first 36 holes on day one with the final 18 holes on Tuesday.
The Gators' Lineup
Marta Perez
Perez moves up to the top spot in the starting five after a career-best five-under par final round at the Schooner Fall Classic. Her six birdie day helped her finish tied for ninth on the leaderboard.
Taylor Tomlinson
Tomlinson had a hot start to her tournament in Oklahoma carding a 68 on the first day of play. She ended the event just outside the top-25 with her one-over par score.
Addie Baggarly
Baggarly joined Tomlinson at one-over par at the Schooner which tied the Gator pairing for 26th on the leaderboard. She was the only Florida golfer to post multiple under par rounds at the tournament.
Carlotta Ricolfi
Ricolfi was one of four Gators to go sub par in the final round of the Schooner. Her one-under, 70 was her lowest round of the season.
Elin Esborn
After finishing fifth in South Carolina, Esborn carried that momentum to Oklahoma. She posted a one- under, 70 on day one before eventually finishing tied for 39th in the event.
