ATHENS, Ga. – Anna Danilina and Belinda Woolcock continued their respective impressive runs at the NCAA Singles Championships held at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex on Friday.
Florida's Brooke Austin and Kourtney Keegan continued their stellar run in the NCAA Doubles Championships, defeating on Friday Arkansas' No. 40 Shannon Hudson/Giulia Pairone, 7-5, 6-1.
The great news: Danilina and Woolcock won in straight sets on Friday.
The no-so-great news: Danilina and Woolcock will play each other in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
The great news: a Gator will be advancing to the semifinals of the NCAA Singles Championships for the first time since current junior Josie Kuhlman did so in 2015.
Austin and Keegan are the reigning NCAA Doubles Champions and have won seven straight in the prestigious, season-ending national tournament.

- Danilina squared off on court No. 1 against Georgia's No. 14 Ellen Perez and ousted the hometown favorite ,6-4, 7-6 (3).
- The entire second set was on serve and entered a tiebreak, where Danilina jumped out to a 4-1 lead and never looked back en route to the big victory.
- Danilina plays Gator teammate and sixth-ranked Belinda Woolcock in the Quarterfinals on Saturday. This is the first ever meeting between the two Gators.
- Friday's win extended Danilina's singles win streak to 16.
- The Gator junior, who is nearing the end of her second collegiate season, is now 37-9 overall this year and 67-16 in her career.
- First Round: def. #2 Hayley Carter (UNC) 6-2, 6-3
- Second Round: #58 Felicity Maltby (Texas Tech), 6-1, 6-1

- "It was a really tough match. Ellen (Perez) is a really good player so it was a tough match all the way around. I had to work really hard in some areas, but it worked in my benefit. Overall, it was a really tough, but fun, match."
Belinda Woolcock
- The event's No. 6 seed marched into the quarterfinals with a 6-3, 6-1 win against LSU's No. 46 Joana Valle Costa.
- Woolcock capitalized on her third match-point opportunity, the final one coming off Valle Costa's serve. The first set was on-serve through six games before Woolcock got the break and ripped off the next eight games for the straight-set victory.
- The Gator senior, who was named the Most Valuable Player of the NCAA Team Championships, next plays Gator teammate and 44th-ranked Anna Danilina on Saturday for a spot in the semifinals.
- Woolcock now sports a 27-10 singles record this year and a 111-38 career mark.
- This is the third consecutive year Woolcock has earned a berth in the singles tournament. Last year she reached the round of 16 – then a career-best.

- Second round def. #28 Melissa Lord (Stanford), 6-3, 6-4

- "My aggressive style worked well for me today. I feel like I was really diligent in moving up on the court, especially with her [Joana Valle Costa] type of game style. Also my serving worked very well today."

- The reigning NCAA Doubles Champions defeated Arkansas' No. 40 Shannon Hudson and Giulia Pairone, 7-5, 6-1 in its round of 16 match on Friday
- Austin and Keegan advance to the quarterfinals where they will play the winner of the match between Martina Frantova/Anna Rogers (NC State) and Maya Jansen/Maegan Manasse (California) on Saturday.
- Austin and Keegan improved to 17-8 overall this season and 75-19 as a team.
- Individually, Austin is 78-24 in career doubles matches, while Keegan, a senior, is 117-32.
