Gators Drop Two Spots After Second Round of Carpet Capital

ROCKY FACE, Ga. – The Florida Gators men's golf team sits 13th after day two of the Carpet Capital Collegiate despite a five-stroke improvement from round one.
Freshman Aden Ye maintains his top spot among the Gators, improving from his 2-over 74 with a 1-over 73 today and being T35. Despite two birdies on his first nine holes, a bogey on his second nine took him over.
Sophomore Chris Nido also improved on day two, finishing on par at 72 and T41 thanks to three birdies on his last nine. Senior Gordon Neale improved from 4-over to 2-over 74 to finish the second round T54. Sophomore Manny Girona and freshman Eugene Hong each tallied a 5-over 77 and are T66 and hold 73 respectively.
Competing individually, senior Ryan Celano sits 78th after shooting an 84 in his second round.
