
Gators Finish Day Two at the SEC Championship

Florida is tied for ninth heading into the final round of stroke play at the SEC Championship.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Florida women's golf team finished the second round at the SEC Championship, posting a 5-under overall score of 571 to sit in a tie for ninth place.
The Gators are led by senior Addie Baggarly, who touts a 3-under par overall score to sit in a tie for 22nd.
Sophomore Annabell Fuller and freshman Maisie Filler follow Baggarly, finishing 1-under par through two days of play to tie for 34th heading into tomorrow's final round of stroke play. Maisie Filler paced the way for the Gators in today's round, posting the only score under par.
Marina Escobar struggled on the front-nine, recording three bogeys to sit 3-over par early as she made the turn. The sophomore dug deep, carding a birdie on the 11th and 18th hole to finish the round 2-over par and even through two rounds.
Lauren Waidner rounded out the Gators lineup, finishing the day 2-over par alongside Escobar and 5-over par overall to tie for 53rd.
The Gators will head out to the course tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m. ET in the final round of stroke play.
