No. 2 Florida Competes Sunday in Tri-Meet at West Virginia with No. 4 Utah

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Sunday's Groundhog Day gymnastics tri-meet includes No. 2 Florida plus Big 12 Conference members No. 4 Utah and meet host West Virginia. Meet time is 2 p.m. ET in WVU Coliseum.
There are three top-10 competitions set for this weekend, with Sunday's tri-meet featuring No. 2 Florida and No. 4 Utah. Other top 10 meets include Friday's No. 9 Missouri at No. 3 LSU and Saturday's No. 5 Michigan State at No. 6 UCLA.
This is Florida's second meet versus a 2024 NCAA Team Final participant, Utah took third and Florida fourth in the final meet of the 2024 collegiate season. The Gators started 2025 road action with a 197.55 – 197.45 loss at defending NCAA champion LSU.
Two winners of NCAA individual event titles are among Sunday's rosters - Jaedyn Rucker – Utah (2022 vault) and Leanne Wong – UF (2024 bars).

Gators Sets Nation's 2025 High in SEC Home Opening Win Over No. 13 Georgia:
The nation's 2025 leading total gave then No. 3 Florida the win over No. 13 Georgia in front of 9,108 Jan. 24 at the Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center.
Florida is the nation's first to pass the 198 mark this season, tallying a 198.125. Georgia's total of 196.825 Friday equaled its season best for the second consecutive week.
A Gator won at least a share of each event title Friday, including sweeping the all-around standings. Junior transfer Selena Harris-Miranda won her second consecutive all-around with a season-best 39.625. Senior Sloane Blakely was close behind at 39.60 and sophomore Anya Pilgrim took third (39.55) in her 2025 all-around debut.
The vault title was claimed by Harris-Miranda with a season-high 9.95. Freshman Skye Blakely shared her first uneven bars win at 9.90 with Pilgrim and Georgia's Ady Wahl at 9.90. Sloane Blakely won a share of her second consecutive balance beam and floor exercise titles. She tied teammates Pilgrim, graduate Victoria Nguyen and Georgia's Brooke Gleichowski at 9.95 for the beam win. Fellow senior teammate Leanne Wong shared the floor title at 9.925 with Sloane Blakely.
Weekly Honors x 2 for Selena Harris-Miranda:
After her second consecutive all-around win last Friday versus Georgia, Inside Gymnastics named junior All-American Selena Harris-Miranda its National Gymnast of the Week on Jan. 27.
The next day, Harris-Miranda was named co-Southeastern Conference Gymnast of the Week. It was her first SEC weekly honor but fourth of her career as she picked up three Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week honors in her final season with UCLA in 2024.
Utah in 2025:
Utah shares the nation's second-highest score of 197.95, set Jan. 20 in its win at the Les Olson IT Best of Utah event in West Valley City, Utah. Junior Makenna Smith owns Utah's season best all-around of 39.725 to lead a Utah all-around sweep (Grace McCallum/39.60) and Camie Winger/39.475) at the Best of Utah event.

Sunday's event is West Virginia's first multi-team meet of 2025. The Mountaineers opened Big 12 action Jan. 26 with a 195.975 – 194.10 loss at No. 16 Denver. No Mountaineers have competed all-around this season.
