
Paskauskas Advances In NCAA Singles Championship With Three-Set Victory

ORLANDO, Fla. — The first day of the 2025 NCAA Division I Women's Singles and Doubles Championships is in the books, and Florida sophomore Gabia Paskauskas picked up a three-set, 6-2, 4-6, 7-5 victory over Stanford's Alyssa Ahn in her Round of 64 singles match Tuesday evening.
Paskauskas now takes on NC State's Mia Slama in the Round of 32 on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 1 p.m. EST.
Senior Xinyi Nong squared off against Clemson's Ria Bhakta in her Round of 64 singles match, but dropped a razor-thin 7-5, 6-4 decision.
Also getting underway Wednesday is the NCAA doubles championship. Nong and Nikola Daubnerova face Virginia's Melodie Collard and Vivian Yang in their Round of 32 match at 6:30 p.m..
