Kyle Pitts go off on Thursday Night Football and a former Gator finds his rhythm on his new squad
By: Alexander Vafeas
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Former Gators took over Week 15 in the NFL, putting up historic performances in every phase of the game.
Each week of the 2025-26 season, FloridaGators.com will cover all of the best moments from the NFL stars who made a name for themselves in Gainesville.
Offense Kyle Pitts – TE – Atlanta Falcons
The Kyle Pitts game. That's what Dec. 11, 2025, will forever be known as to those who witnessed Pitt's offensive explosion Thursday night. The veteran tight end racked up 166 yards and three touchdowns on a career-high 11 receptions.
He became the first tight end since Shannon Sharpe in 1996 to finish a game with 150-plus receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Malik Davis – RB – Dallas Cowboys
Got it done on the goal line. Malik Davis carried the rock eight times Sunday for 21 yards, adding another 16 yards through the air on two receptions. Davis also punched in this pivotal score to give Dallas the lead early to start the second quarter.
Defense Ventrell Miller – LB – Jacksonville Jaguars
First career interception for Ventrell Miller. The third-year linebacker made the most of his limited defensive snaps Sunday, tallying two tackles and a leaping end zone INT to help seal the win for Jacksonville. Miller also posted the seventh-highest PFF grade by a linebacker in Week 15 with an 81.2.

C.J. Gardner-Johnson – S – Chicago Bears
Back-to-back weeks with an INT for Gardner-Johnson. After making his way around the NFL carousel earlier this season, the ball-hawking safety has found his groove in the "Windy City". Gardner-Johnson allowed just a 16.7 NFL passer rating against the Browns, only giving up 11 yards in coverage.
Special Teams Eddy Pineiro – K – San Francisco 49ers
Steady Eddy stays the course. The Niners' kicker was perfect this weekend, going seven-for-seven (three field goals and four extra points). Pineiro has easily been one of the league's best kickers this season, making all 25 of his field goal attempts, the only kicker to do so this season (min. 10 attempts).
Pineiro's 25-straight FGM also moves him to T-3 for the most consecutive field goals in 49ers franchise history.
Chimere Dike – WR – Tennessee Titans
Dike continues to dominate in the return game, racking up 90 yards on four kickoff returns. His 100 all-purpose yards Sunday put him over 2,000 on the season, becoming just the sixth Titans all-time to accomplish that feat.
