
Four Gators Earn Academic All-American Honors

Jessica Guiser, Addison Klonowski, Elaine Widjaja and Siuue Wu all received recognition.
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Four Florida women's golfers in Jessica Guiser, Addison Klonowski, Elaine Widjaja and Siuue Wu all earned 2024-25 WGCA All-American Scholar honors, the Women's Golf Coaches Association announced on Monday.
Klonowski had the top finish (T24, -2) by a Gator freshman at the National Championship in 20 years. The redshirt-freshman joined the Gators in the spring of last season and redshirted before becoming a mainstay in the lineup in her first season of collegiate golf en route to earning SEC All-Freshman Team honors. Klonowski also secured both match-clinching points in the SEC Championship Quarterfinals (3&2 vs. LSU) and Semifinals (1Up vs. Arkansas). She was in the lineup for all 12 tournaments, including the No. 1 spot on three occasions and led the lineup in top-25 finishes (10) and under par rounds (13).
Also earning SEC All-Freshman honors was Guiser, who highlighted her season winning medalist honors at the Gators Invitational with a 54-hole score of 4-under 206, only the second UF freshman to win the home tournament in its 53 years. She has played in eight events this season and has two top-10s and four top-25s. The Hartland, Wis. native also opened the National Championship with a bogey-free 3-under round.
Widjaja also collected SEC First-Year Honor Roll honors as on the course she tied for a team-high four top-10 finishes. she saw action in eight tournaments and in the lineup three times and made her collegiate debut in the season opener at the Cougar Classic and had a team-best finish at T8 (-2). She recorded seven under par rounds, two tournaments under par and six top-25 finishes.
Rounding out the group was Wu with her fourth accolade of her freshman campigan - two-time SEC Freshman of the Week and SEC First-Year Honor Roll. She played in six tournaments and in the lineup each time while going 2-0-1 in match play at the Barbara Nicklaus Cup. She has a season-best finish of T10 (-2) in Florida's title defense at The Ally.
To be selected, a student-athlete must:
• Have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher.
• Be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season.
• Have played in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship
