Erickson, Rothrock & Shumaker Tabbed Preseason All-SEC

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Florida softball's Jocelyn Erickson, Keagan Rothrock and Taylor Shumaker were named to the 2026 Preseason All-Southeastern Conference Team, the league office announced on Thursday morning.
The trio of Gators were selected to the 21-member preseason team by a vote of the league's head coaches.
Shumaker was a 2025 First team All-SEC selection, Erickson was the 2024 SEC Player of the Year and Rothrock was the 2024 SEC Freshman of the Year.
In the SEC Preseason Coaches' poll, the Gators were picked to finish fourth in the conference. Points were compiled on a descending basis, and coaches were not allowed to vote for their own team.
No. 6 Florida is coming off a 48-win 2025 season that included the program's 13th trip to the Women's College World Series. The Gators finished tied for fifth in the SEC with a 14-10 conference record.
Opening Day for the 2026 Gators is set for Feb. 6 vs. Illinois State at the USF-Rawlings Invitational in Tampa, Fla.
