GAINESVILLE, Fla. – One day after making gymnastics history, Florida junior Skye Blakely added two more medals to her growing World Championships collection.
Blakely claimed bronze in both vault and uneven bars Saturday at the 2026 World Gymnastics Championships at Rotterdam Ahoy in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The two podium finishes followed Friday's historic all-around gold, when Blakely became the first gymnast to compete in NCAA gymnastics and win a world all-around title in the same calendar year.
The three-medal performance adds another remarkable chapter to Blakely's comeback from a right Achilles tendon injury that ended her hopes of competing at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
She is the only gymnast at this year's championships to qualify for four individual finals — all-around, vault, uneven bars and balance beam.
Saturday's bronze medals came in her fourth senior World Championships appearance. Blakely previously helped the United States claim team gold in 2022 and 2023 and team silver in 2026. She also finished fifth on balance beam at the 2022 championships and fourth on uneven bars in 2025.
For the Worlds vault final, the gymnasts perform two vaults, which must come from different vault groups.
Making her first World Championships vault final appearance, Blakely opened with a Yurchenko double full that earned a 14.100. She followed with a Lopez vault, scoring 13.833 to secure bronze with final score of 14.166.
U.S. teammate Claire Pease claimed silver with a 14.233, while Brazil's Rebeca Andrade captured another world vault title with a 14.466.
Andrade previously won world vault gold in 2021 and 2023, along with Olympic gold at the Tokyo Games.
Blakely followed her vault medal with another podium finish on uneven bars, delivering her highest score in international competition on the apparatus.
The lone U.S. representative in the eight-gymnast final, Blakely competed second and posted a 14.600, a mark that held up for bronze.
Algeria's Kaylia Nemour won gold with a 15.333, adding to her uneven bars titles from the 2024 Paris Olympics and 2025 World Championships. Germany's Helen Kevric earned silver with a 14.833.
The United States also will be represented by Reese Esponda and Claire Pease in Sunday's floor exercise final.
