The Orange and Blue earn double-digit honorees for the first time since 2024
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Southeastern Conference has officially announced its all-SEC honorees for the Indoor Track and Field season.
Layla Haynes, Malia Campbell, Bethan Morley and Claire Stegall were each named all-SEC second team following their finish in the women's distance medley relay (DMR). The quartet of Gators locked in a new program No. 1 mark of 10:46.45 to shatter the previous record by over five seconds and walk away with a silver medal and runner-up finish in the event.
Stegall's 4:30.81 runner-up finish in the mile added to her already collected accolade.
Hilda Olemomoi earns her fourth consecutive indoor all-conference honor following her two podium finishes in the women's 3000m and 5000m events. The senior accumulated a total of 16 team points for her finishes, earning the Cliff Harper award alongside Arkansas' Sydney Vaught and Ole Miss' Akaoma Hodge as the top women's scorers in the SEC Championship meet.
Jarno van Daalen, Wanya McCoy, and Oussama Allaoui collect all-conference second team honors after their second place finishes over the weekend. Van Daalen's 20.14m (66'1") mark in the shot put gives the freshman a No. 3 program record, as McCoy's 20.31 200m finish marks his first podium placement since his conference title in 2024. Freshman Allaoui earns the accolade from a 4:02.80 mile finish at Saturday's championship meet.
Kelvin Cheruiyot earned his third team honors from two separate events, receiving a bronze medal in the men's 3000m and 5000m run. In the field, Alida van Daalen and Asia Phillips each placed third in their respective events, including the shot put and the triple jump, to each earn third team nods.
