Contingent of Gators set for 2026 USATF Outdoor Championships

Nine current and former Florida track & field athletes will compete in New York this weekend.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Seven Gators are set to compete at the 2026 Toyota USA Track & Field Outdoor Championships from July 23-26, at Icahn Stadium in New York, N.Y.
Claire Stegall, who recently concluded her freshman season with the Gators, is set to compete in the women's 1500-meter run which will begin on Thursday at 5:52 p.m. ET with the semifinal round. The Nolensville, Tenn., native has already found success in the summer months, most recently winning the gold medal in the 1500 meters at the 2026 USATF U20 Championships with a school record time of 4:04.59. In addition to the USATF Outdoor Championships, Stegall qualified for the U20 World Championships from Aug. 5-9 in Eugene, Ore.
Stegall will be joined by Florida alumni Pjai Austin, Claire Bryant, Malcolm Clemons, Marquis Dendy, Talitha Diggs and Parker Valby at the championships this weekend. While this year's USATF Outdoor Championships will not serve as a qualifying or selection event, it will continue to award World Athletics ranking points for athletes.
The 2026 USA Track & Field Outdoor Championships will air live on NBC, Peacock and USATF.TV for the duration of the championships.
