The award is presented annually to the most outstanding offensive player in DI football either from Texas or currently plays college football in Texas.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Junior offensive lineman Harrison Moore has been named to The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award preseason watch list, the organization announced on Tuesday.
The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award was created in 2012 to recognize the top offensive player in Division I college football who either graduated from a high school in Texas or currently plays college football in Texas. The award was named after Earl Campbell, who not only graduated from John Tyler High School in Tyler, Texas but went on to play football at the University of Texas. In his senior year with the Longhorns, Campbell led the nation with 1744 yards rushing, 19 touchdowns, and went on to be the first Heisman Trophy winner for the University of Texas.
Moore enters his first season with the Gators, after appearing in 11 games, making eight starts, and 682 snaps at Georgia Tech in 2025. Moore helped anchor an offensive line that allowed just nine sacks (0.69 per game) during the season, earning a spot as one of the 10 semifinalists for the Joe Moore Award, which is given to the best offensive line unit in college football. Coming from Southlake, Texas and playing high school football at Carroll High School made Moore eligible for the nomination.
