Several Gator student-athletes earn their degrees this weekend.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Among the more than 3,100 who earn their University of Florida degrees this weekend are several Gator student-athletes.
Summer commencement ceremonies begin Friday, Aug. 7 and runs through Saturday, Aug. 8.
Gator Summer Grad Notes:
One earned medals in each of the last two Olympics:
One was part Florida's 2024 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field title team:
Two won NCAA Individual titles:

- Kieran Smith (2021 200 free; 2022 200 free relay) and Trinity Thomas (2022 NCAA all-around, uneven bars and floor exercise)

- Trinity Thomas walks across the UF commencement stage for the fourth time – adding her nursing degree to her bachelor's and pair of master's degrees. The two-time Honda Awards recipient as the nation's top collegiate gymnast was the 2023 Southeastern Conference Female Athlete of the Year and shares the NCAA record for career 10.0s (28 total).
- Kenleigh Cahalan (softball) and Kayla DiCello (gymnastics) earned 2026 College Sports Communicators Academic All-America honors
- Five were named SEC athletes of year: Kayla DiCello (gymnastics freshman of 2023), Selena Harris-Miranda (gymnastics newcomer of 2025), Megan Propeck (golf newcomer of 2026), Kieran Smith (swimmer of year 2020), Trinity Thomas (gymnast of year 2020, 2022 & 2023),
- Eight receive master's or doctorate degrees this weekend – Camille DeBoer (swimming), Alexia dos Santos Dizeko (basketball), eMjae Frazier (gymnastics), Ava Kristynik (lacrosse), Charlotte McClure (soccer), Clay Millen (football), Tatum O'Coyne (soccer), Megan Propeck (golf)
