Gators Open Fall Season At ITA All-American Championships

CARY, N.C. — The Florida Women's Tennis team begins its 2026 fall season this weekend as the Gators send seven student-athletes to the ITA Women's All-American Championships in Cary, N.C. The event runs from September 19-27 at the Cary Tennis Park, and has three stages of play — pre-qualifying, qualifying, and the main draw.
Prequalifying is slated for Sept. 19-20. In the singles draw, 20 players advance to qualifying, while eight teams advance on the doubles side of the ledger. The Qualifying Rounds last from Sept. 21-22. A total of 16 singles players advance to the Main Draw, while eight doubles teams do likewise. The Main Draw gets underway Sept. 23 and concludes Sept. 27.
In all, ten singles players will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship (eight main draw quarterfinalists & two feed-in consolation finalists) out of the event, and five doubles teams will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship (four main draw semifinalists, consolation champion).
Florida's full schedule will be announced at a later date.
