Gators, Francisco set for second straight sweep

Florida (-8) leads by three-shots and Paula Francisco (-7) by two-shots.
FRANKLIN, Tenn. – After two rounds of the Mason Rudolph Championship, the No. 7 Florida women's golf team is in position to record consecutive team and individual titles to open the 2026-27 season. Paula Francisco controls the individual lead at 7-under by two shots, while Florida leads the team race by three shots at 8-under.
A sweep of the team and individual titles in back-to-back tournaments would be the first for Florida since the fall of 2023 at the Tar Heel Invitational and The Ally, when Maisie Filler earned medalist honors in both events.
Through 90 holes this season, Florida has led in every round, while a Gator has held at least a share of the individual lead in four of the five rounds.
Florida's second-round 2-under performance continued its streak of under-par team rounds this season, adding to rounds of 8-under, 7-under, 6-under and 1-under.
Francisco looks to capture her third career victory, adding to her SEC Championship and Gators Invitational titles, both of which were record-setting performances. Her Gators Invitational victory set the 54-hole scoring record, while her SEC Championship performance produced the second-lowest tournament score in program history. A third individual tournament title would also make Francisco the 14th Gator with three or more career victories.
She shot a second-round 68 (-3), highlighted by an eagle-birdie finish that helped Florida move past second-place Mississippi State (-5).
Freshman Katelyn Huber is three strokes behind Francisco in solo third at 4-under. She posted her second consecutive round of 69 (-2) this weekend and recorded a stretch of three straight birdies on holes four through six.
The next three Gators in the lineup feature Elaine Widjaja (+2), tied for 20th, followed by Jessica Guiser and Addison Klonowski (+3), who are tied for 27th.
Florida tees off the final round tomorrow at 10:40 a.m.
