Gators Named Pop-Tarts Bowl Crazy Good Team of the Week After 52-28 Win Over Ole Miss

The Gators put up 498 total yards, 302 on the ground and 196 in the air, against then ranked No. 4 Ole Miss
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 8 Florida Gators have been named the Pop-Tarts Bowl Crazy Good Team of the Week following their 52-28 win over the then ranked No. 4 Ole Miss Rebels, the Football Writers Association of America announced on Monday.
The Gators offense put up 498 total yards in the win, with 302 rushing yards and 196 passing yards. On the ground, Florida was led by Jadan Baugh and Duke Clark, as Baugh put up 142 rushing yards and Clark ran for 126 yards. The duo became the first to both rush for over 100 yards for UF since Montrell Johnson Jr. and Trevor Etienne did so against South Carolina in 2022.
The Gators' 52 points, 498 total yards and 302 rushing yards are the most Ole Miss has given up so far this season and the 52 points tied UF's most against a top-five team since beating Florida State 52-20 in the 1996 national championship game.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Gators were able to force two turnovers and hold Ole Miss to their lowest point total of the season. Florida's first caused turnover on the day came at 2:47 in the third quarter as Jayden Woods forced a fumble at UF's 40-yard line and Myles Graham recovered the ball. The Gators would then go on to extend their lead to 38-21 on the ensuing drive. DJ Coleman would get the second turnover, as he intercepted a pass with 2:41 left in the game at UF's five-yard line.
This is Florida's seventh FWAA National Team of the Week honor and the first since the 29-26 win over No. 7 Utah in 2022.
The 4-0 No. 8 Gators will look to stay undefeated when they take on No. 25 Missouri in Columbia, Mo., at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

Single-game tickets are on sale for the 2026 Florida Football season under first-year head coach Jon Sumrall. Fans can purchase single-game tickets for home contests against South Carolina (Oct. 10), Oklahoma (Nov. 7), and Vanderbilt (Nov. 21). Fans can also purchase tickets for the game against Georgia in Atlanta on Oct. 31.
